Traditionally we gave birth and raised our children in village environments. Being surrounded by parents, grandparents and relatives were a great support when a new baby arrived. This allowed new mother time so she could rest, recover, establish breastfeeding and bond with her newborn. 

Nowadays we live in nuclear settings, away from extended family. We have lost our support village and this especially comes to the forefront when a new baby arrives.

Who is around to lend a helping hand and look after the new mother? 

Unfortunately, this lack of support can have a detrimental effect on the new parents, leaving them feeling overwhelmed and stressed as they navigate parenting a new child, especially in the first few months. 

As a Postpartum Doula I support new mothers who want to avoid feeling stressed and overwhelmed and instead feel relaxed and confident as they transition into motherhood.

I offer in-home holistic support and can customise a package to suit your needs

This May Include; 

  • Preparing nourishing meals

  • Newborn care guides

  • Holistic breastfeeding support (I will refer if there is a lactation issue) 

  • Relaxation massage

  • First touch baby massage lessons 

  • Household organising

  • Assistance with older siblings

  • HypnoMothering techniques and meditations

  • Lots of nurturing and support

In Your Postpartum Sanctuary You Will Enjoy:

  • Prenatal visit at your home to get to know each other. This is not time based, more quality based to get to know each other and discuss your postpartum vision and support you may require.

  • Postpartum visits, when I come to your home and offer practical and emotional support depending on your needs for that day (to be used with in the first 3 months)

  • On going support for 3 months - Available to chat via email, phone or txt like your personal postpartum mentor

  • Access to my lending library of books
